The new Edinburgh office for Canaccord Genuity creates a welcoming and attractive workplace concentrating on quality, productivity and wellbeing maximised by the superb Edinburgh city centre location and striking views of the historical city. The office demonstrates a company culture of investing in both staff and client needs, with a look and feel that is on brand. This space has created a workspace fit for now and the future.

How we transformed the space

We designed an environment of multifunctional zones to create an agile and adaptable space allowing a variety of tasks. With activity based work areas we gave the individual a choice of working location : collaborative work, focus space, presentation and recreation. We removed traditional physical barriers of wall and corridors, encouraging an integrated team culture and a working environment which caters for multiple scenarios.

In the main office we created a workbench desk environment to enable flexible space for project groups to divide into focus areas and breakouts for team collaboration. In addition, welcoming and professional meeting rooms and client suites were crafted to adapt to requirements and easily transformed into an events venue with the incorporation of a movable wall.

Inspiration for the project was taken from the Princes Street location and existing architectural details within the space.
